Summer harkens back to the “old” Anguilla. With fewer tourists, the local vibe returns, the cooling northeast trade winds keep the temperature comfortable, and the beaches can be all yours. This is the season when Anguillans welcome family members back home for the Summer Festival which begins in July and culminates in Carnival the first week of August. This is an annual cultural event celebrated with parades, sailboat racing, local seafood, and barbeque, and of course, music and dancing.
